Iljin Group Spurs LED and Secondary Battery Investment in North Jeolla Province
Iljin Group invests a trillion won in Iksan City, North Joella Province until 2015 to build its LED and rechargeable battery material production facilities. In this vein, Iljin Materials, a daughter company of the group, concluded an investment agreement on April 26 with the city to found an elecfoil plant there. Elecfoil is a key material of diverse electronics like TVs and cell phones.
At present, the firm’s ordinary elecfoil manufacturing capacity is at around 36,000 tons a year and its local market share is 60% or so. Globally, it is second only to Mitsui Chemical Industry of Japan.
